We're here to help take the stress out of your Skin Care Routine, which has a HUGE impact on how you look and feel!
The Basics of a Good College Skin Care Routine
Looking and feeling your best starts with the basics of a good skin care routine.
Nighttime College Skin Care Routine
1. Washing your face with gentle products
Our favorite gentle skin care cleansing products are:
and
Vanicream Gentle Cleanser
Both are made for sensitive skin types so they won't cause irritation to your skin, they won't strip your skin of the essentials, and both contribute to maintaining a healthy skin barrier.
2. Moisturizing your skin with gentle products
Along with our favorite washcloths and cleanser, we also love CeraVe moisturizing cream.
It contains essential ceramides which build up and maintain a healthy skin barrier and it doesn't contain any ingredients that can irritate your skin. It's soft, creamy and soothing to your skin.
**If you choose to add other products or serums to your nighttime skin care routine, to address certain concerns, that's up to you. Just build on this foundation.
Daytime College Skin Care Routine
Follow the same routine as we've outlined above for nighttime (excluding any additional products you might add)
+ JUST ADD SPF for daytime.
It is vital to protect your skin during the day against sun damage, which causes premature aging and the potential for skin cancer.
After washing and moisturizing, protect your skin with your favorite SPF, rain or shine. (*wait about 10 minutes after applying your moisturizer to allow it to set before applying SPF)
We love Eucerin Daily SPF 30.
It is light-weight, goes on smoothly and sits well under make-up.
Other Clear Skin Tips for College Students:
Wash your pillow cases often (try to sleep on a clean one as often as possible).
Don't sleep in your make-up.
Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Watch what you eat (make sure to include some fruits and veggies to balance out all those late night taco feedings!)
Mange your stress by exercising, meditating, talking to a mental health professional, taking quiet time for yourself, spending time with friends.
Take the stress out of college skin care by following this simple routine, and skin tips, to help you look and feel your best! Now go make it a great year!
