The Best Baby Washcloths and Favorite Baby Products
I'm sorry I've been gone for a while. As some of you know, my husband's father recently passed away so we were traveling and spending time with family. We appreciate all the kind words and love we received, so thank you so much for that.
Today's episode is all about the best baby washcloths for your baby's tender skin as well as other favorite baby products shared by our family and friends.
If you have a baby yourself or you're a grandma with grandbabies, or you're an aunt or uncle, or you attend baby showers for friends and family and want to give thoughtful gifts to new moms, this will be a great episode for you to learn about some of the best baby products that also make lovely baby gifts.
So lets dive right in-
The Best Washcloths for your Baby's Sensitive Skin
Some of you know we recently launched a line of new product packaging to highlight how perfect our soft flannel washcloths are for a baby's tender skin.
And although we already have a lot of customers buying our washcloths for their own babies and as baby gifts, we decided to make it even easier to identify our Fairface Washcloth brand not only as a sensitive skin brand, but also as a Baby Essential to care for a baby's sensitive skin.
The Type of Baby Washcloths you use Matters
The type of washcloth you use against your baby's delicate skin matters, since they are used over and over again.
Now before you think, a washcloth is just a washcloth, trust me when I say, not all baby washcloths are created equal. And for the health of your baby's skin, you want to make sure you're using the right ones.
Traditional Baby Washcloths Just aren't Soft Enough
We've been told time and time again by our customers, and you may have found this yourself, that traditional baby washcloths on the market just aren't soft enough.
They are often made with textured fabrics - like toweling with nubs or loops, sometimes they're made with baby terrycloth which is either all cotton but most often they're made with a mix of cotton and polyester loop threads.
I've also seen bamboo terrycloth which can be soft but it's also made with textured loops and I've seen microfiber (that always makes me cringe) and even muslin which also has texture to it.
Why You Should Avoid Textured Washcloths for you Baby
Let me tell you why it's better not to use textured washcloths on your baby's skin and why your baby's skin would be better off using our soft flannel washcloths instead.
It's probably something you haven't thought of before.
Textured fabrics against the skin causes exfoliation due to the friction between the washcloth and the skin's barrier.
Just as sensitive skin can be irritated when using harsh textures against it, the same is true for your baby's tender skin.
The more harsh the texture is, the more potential there is to irritate and even damage the skin barrier.
Use Soft Flannel Fairface Washcloths for your Baby
That's why we make our Fairface Delicate Washcloths with 2 layers of soft cotton flannel so there's no texture that can cause redness or irritation or damage to your skin barrier. Our soft flannel washcloths are gentle and glide across the skin. They don't have any abrasive textures.
When our customers use our soft flannel washcloths for the first time, they are often very surprised at how soothing they feel against their sensitive skin.
They are used to using traditional terrycloth washcloths that are so much more scratchy and abrasive, but they just didn't know there was something so much better.
The same goes for your baby's skin.
Traditional baby washcloths are most often textured because that's the way they've always been...our sensitive skin customers have even tried them on their own skin but still found traditional baby washcloths too abrasive for their sensitive skin.
Once you feel our soft flannel washcloths against your skin, I can promise you, you will never want to go back to textured washcloths again - for yourself and for your baby.
The bottom line, is a baby's skin doesn't need texture, it simply needs softness. Fairface softness.
SHOP FAIRFACE SOFT BABY WASHCLOTHS HERE
So when you go to our Fairface Washcloths shop, you'll find our soft flannel Fairface Delicate Washcloths with our traditional packaging, AND a new section with our Baby packaging.
The reason we did that was just to make it easier to identify that Fairface Washcloths really are the best washcloths for your baby, without irritating textures, made with our soft, plush, gentle flannel.
Our soft washcloths are not only wonderful for:
- baby's bath time,
- they can also be used as reusable soft baby face wipes to wipe their nose, and wipe their mouth and face
again it's all softness, so there's no textured terrycloth that can cause redness to their sweet baby skin.
I hope I've helped you understand why it's better to forego traditional textured baby washcloths and opt for our soft flannel baby washcloths instead. They really are so much more gentle for your baby's sensitive skin.
and
They really are the best soft washcloths not only for all sensitive skin, but also for your precious baby's sensitive skin.
So pick some up for your baby and they make wonderful baby gifts.
